The lovely downtown Abide Awhile Harbourview Loft is ready for you. Recently updated with fresh paint and warm, inviting furniture and decor, we are available and located in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.
This particular upper level apartment has the ‘Grand’ distinction of being the actual city home away from home set location for the iconic movie The Grand Seduction, made here in Newfoundland and Labrador. We love this amazing piece of trivia, and fully understand why the three window expansive harbour view from the living room would be desirable as a movie set.
The Harbourview Loft is also a proud member of Hospitality Newfoundland and Labrador.
This spacious two bedroom apartment has a gorgeous Primary King bedroom with loads of room to settle in and enjoy the view. The Loft also includes a second dreamy Queen bedroom with a full closet and plenty of space to settle in and make yourself right at home.
Weather permitting, do enjoy coffee or brunch outside along with your fine view of both the Harbour and Signal Hill/ Narrows. There is a set of light wicker furniture located inside the expansive and beautifully comfortable King-sized Master bedroom easily moved and adjusted for use during your stay.
The downtown area is rich with St. John’s originality in the people, places and experiences you will come across on your journey here. Legendary restaurants like Basho Restaurant and Lounge (Japanese/ Sushi), The Duke of Duckworth (British Pub) and Oliver’s Restaurant (Canadian Seafood) are among the many food options you have, many within an easy walk, but bring the right shoes! There are hills to climb in the city core and around Signal Hill and the Cabot Trail areas.
Want to be ‘Screeched In’? Find out all about this unique Newfoundland and Labrador tradition at several spots downtown on George St, very nearby your Harbourview Loft. It’s hiking distance if you don’t mind the hill coming back. Or walk there and take an inexpensive five minute cab ride home.
Want to get out to Sea? Try your hand at cod jigging through Quidi Vidi Carters or Ocean Quest Adventures, to appreciate this experience and scenery.
We have many bookings available throughout the Spring and Summer (with cold a/c available) and also into the Fall/ Winter seasons. We also have other sweet spots for you to check out such as Rhoda’s Place, a popular and spacious ground level retreat with a private backyard, as well as The Galley, our cozy one bedroom offering with patio overlooking St. John’s Harbour.
