Abide Awhile Rhoda’s Place is a well-cared for, clean and pristine, roomy two bedroom space with a loving back-story. Rhoda, big sister of the neighborhood, lived here happily for several years. She left the city some time ago to attend to family care in another part of Newfoundland but Rhoda’s sweet touch remains on this special place for you to enjoy… with all the comforts of home including two full bedrooms and a four piece bath.

This kitchen has it all; everything is here that you would need for cooking, baking or anything your heart may desire; from a coffee break to a full multi-course meal. The kitchen is up to any challenge. If we have over-looked anything, please let us know! As well, a separate dining area is here for your loved ones to gather round in comfort and style when your meal is ready.

The apartment has comfortable and spacious bedrooms for you all to enjoy and unwind. Both bedrooms include full closets with many hangers and lots of space to neatly store your personal things while you are here with us. The Primary bedroom has a doorway into your own private backyard oasis, complete with furniture for your family to relax and unwind; seasonal and weather-permitting as always in St. John’s! 🙂

Right next door to Rhoda’s, we have The Galley. A snug one bedroom not to be missed if you are looking for a cozier single bedroom space; also on ground level.

Interestingly, the upstairs apartment of this triplex, the Harbourview Loft, was featured in the 2013 movie The Grand Seduction, filmed here in Newfoundland and Labrador, as one of the character’s homes. We have included a still shot of actor Brendan Gleeson right outside the front door of this sweet space.

You are situated mere minutes from iconic places like the St. John’s Convention Centre, Coffee Matters the Rocket Bakery & Fresh Food.

Also The Rooms is very nearby with, arguably, the best observation deck and tower of the city! The vistas of the city, full circle, are so beautiful in every season and boast of being the province’s most extensive public space. Also it is a perfect spot for a most memorable breakfast or lunch.

Steps away from all the fun and beauty of downtown St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador is where you’ll be when you enjoy time at this sweet home away from home.

Please note that Rhoda’s Place offers street parking only. However, we provide a parking pass for one car, allowing you to conveniently park in the designated area. Many times, the spot right outside your front door is available and there is only one small step to reach the entry door.

If you happen to have more than one car and it’s the weekend, no parking pass is required. Feel free to park additional vehicles without any hassle.
